N.C. Division Commander Dismisses Veteran SCV Leaders In coordination with CIC Wilson's dismissal of ANV Commander Charles Hawks, NCSCV Commander Carawan relieved senior North Carolina SCV leaders Lewis Lawrence and Larry Walker of their duties effective January 3, 2003. Lawrence, NCSCV Division Chief of Staff, and Walker, Division Historian, have both held several leadership roles in the SCV over the years. Veteran SCV leaders Hawks, Lawrence and Walker have openly supported the SSCV movement and have given their endorsements on the SSCV website. In light of these firings, it is apparent that the plan to purge the SCV of all opposition is well under way. Next stop is the NCSCV Executive Council Meeting in Roxboro, North Carolina, on February 15, where Carawan and representatives from International HQ, perhaps including CIC Wilson, will likely demand the resignations of legally elected brigade commanders, camp commanders and others to purge the organization of opposition, remove any and all division officers with opposition votes and thereby stack the deck before proceeding with the "kangaroo court" trials of ANV Commander Hawks, Compatriot Gilbert Jones and others. So much for freedom of speech, constitutional government and the democratic process. Welcome to the New Wilson/Lyons SCV where CIC Wilson leads by threat and intimidation. |
