Wilson’s Latest Gag-Order

Save the SCV Division coordinators have confirmed that SCV Commander-in-Chief Ron Wilson has, during recent weeks, personally contacted most SCV Division Commanders and told them "not to have anything to do with the Save the SCV" movement, and advised them to tell their brigade and camp commanders not to allow discussions concerning SSCV to take place at meetings. In the wake of the Memphis Resolution that forbids public debate on the policies of SCV leaders, CIC Wilson now wants to prevent private discussions at local camp meetings as well. (No public debate + no private debate = no debate.) Wilson’s instructions explain why Orangeburg Camp Commander Tillman Abell has threatened to have the SSCV South Carolina Division coordinator arrested if he attends the Orangeburg camp meeting, and why Morganton North Carolina Camp Commander Jim Pierce has threatened to forcibly remove any SSCV supporter that visits his camp.

CIC Wilson and his League of the South (LOS) allies have swept-away, for purely political reasons, the long-standing tradition of local camps welcoming visitors from other camps. The Wilson/LOS regime is attempting to suppress opposition now, before the next SCV elections. SCV members should ask their local camp commanders: what is so dangerous about the SSCV message that it must be suppressed? Why shouldn’t the membership in local camps be informed on SCV issues? Why can’t camp commanders invite SSCV representatives to meetings to discuss important issues? SCV members should also ask themselves this question: Why even bother to have an SCV convention and election if those who oppose the Ron Wilson/Kirk Lyons gang are forbidden to speak before the convention, shouted-down during the convention (like Gilbert Jones was at Memphis) and relieved of command after the election (like ANV Commander Hawks)?
