As the Sons of Confederate Veterans begins to dissolve in its own extremism, former members (and future former members) are starting to look for local, regional, and national Confederate history/heritage groups to join. The Save the SCV website continues to receive inquiries from disillusioned SCVers who ask which of the new organizations they should consider. Below, is a partial list of groups that have been formed:

United Sons of Confederate Soldiers Association: (USCSA)

These are but a few of the groups that have been formed. The United Sons of Confederate Soldiers Association already has USCSA charters in several states and there are rumors of other states coming on board or forming allied organizations. The USCSA already has the umbrella 501(c)(3) so other state organization can join.

The Sons of the Confederacy has local bivouacs in Tennessee and elsewhere and plan to join the USCSA

The Robert E. Lee and other groups in North Carolina are independent, but are maintaining liaison with each other.

This list is by no means complete. If you wish to have an additional group listed, contact Save the SCV.
